thank you , looks brill
Very nice. When comes it out? I cant play Theme Hospital on Windows 7 and im looking forward for this clone.
Very impressive work so far. How did this project get started? Was there any reverse engineering of the original game (like OpenTTD) or is all the code written from scratch?
Just use DOSBox, that works on everything, including Theme Park and Theme Hospital.
CorsixTH is just going to be AWESOME though, already love playing around with it.
And they update it so much, have to compile a new version every day to get all the latest fixes and features ^^
Im more excited about remakes then modern games, they dont make them like they used to. and even the mainstream remakes mess it up most of the time. Only the fans can make it like it should be.
Is anybody doing anything like this for the original theme park? i love park but i can’t get it to run on xp for toffee.
Go Corsix!
I’v been waiting for something like this for years! Keep coding!!!!
Ah, thanks for clarifying!
And no need to give me a thumbs down folks, jeez, I was simply asking a very reasonable question.
@Gargantou The graphics (and sounds) are loaded and used by, but not distributed with CorsixTH. In other words, if you want to play it, you have to own a copy of Theme Hospital, and enter the directory where you installed it in the config file of CorsixTH. Basically the same as OpenTTD before their graphics (and sound) replacement sets.
Thanks for recreating and making this classic playable on new operating systems.
Not meaning to be a downer or anything but since EA owns the right to Theme Hospital, is there not a risk of them issuing you with a CnD because you’re using graphics they own from the original?
Just got an e-mail from the OpenTH project about your playable beta! I love your work. I was looking for an open source engine for this game to be able to play it in linux because I used to love playing this game. Cheers!
Haha, how many nights I lost to Theme Hospital. Nicely done, Corsix.
Brilliant Corsix.
